The Most Important Voice in the Room

There are certain individuals who, the moment they enter a room, command the full and undivided attention of everyone present.

Their presence alone signals that what they are about to say carries the potential to change lives.

People eagerly pay thousands of dollars to sit at the feet of these figures, hoping to glean wisdom, direction, or a transformative insight.

These individuals have earned such honor through proven experience, a track record of success, deep expertise, and a reputation for offering advice that holds immense value.

Even if it’s just for a brief moment—fifteen minutes, or even less—their words are so treasured that people will pay exorbitant amounts just to be in proximity, yearning to catch even a single golden word of counsel.

Yet, if we, whether believers or nonbelievers, truly understood who it is that speaks to us when God speaks, we would never treat His words casually or take them lightly.

The same awe, reverence, and honor we eagerly bestow upon human beings should be magnified many times over when it comes to God.

The root of why some of us fail to give God the attention He deserves is simple—we have not fully grasped who it is that is speaking.

It’s akin to standing unknowingly in the presence of royalty, unaware that the King of kings is before you. This is the posture of many toward God: we have the Supreme Being active in our lives, yet many of us have yet to fully recognize or acknowledge His greatness and supreme worth.

As much admiration as we offer to accomplish men and women for what they possess—be it wisdom, wealth, or influence—we ought to be infinitely more captivated by God, who possesses all things, who holds all knowledge, who commands all power.

If we are willing to invest thousands of dollars for a human’s advice—advice that might, but might not, impact our lives—how much more attentive should we be to the counsel of the One who knows everything, who gives His wisdom freely, and whose words are guaranteed to bear fruit?

This is the nature of God.

His wisdom is not merely the highest; it is entirely beyond the reach of human intellect.

God does not guess about the future—He declares it. He is capable of speaking realities into existence; what was not there before, He can cause to be. As Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us, He already knows the plans He has for each of us—plans filled with hope and a future. God sees tomorrow as clearly as we see today, because He exists outside of time. James 4:13-15 and Ecclesiastes 7:14 affirm that it is God who holds our future firmly in His hands.

When we humans offer or receive advice, there is always a degree of uncertainty. Even the wisest counselor can be wrong. But with God, His words are absolute. Proverbs 19:21 tells us that although many are the plans in a person’s heart, it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails. When God speaks, His word stands unshaken, firm, and eternal. He alone offers true assurance and lasting peace, regardless of our circumstances (Matthew 11:28).

God’s voice carries a depth, height, and power far beyond anything our limited minds can fathom. While the words of world-renowned leaders, experts, and influencers may carry some authority, they ultimately pale in comparison to the supreme authority of God's Word.

Isaiah 40:8 captures this truth beautifully: "The grass withers, the flowers fade, but the word of our God stands forever." Everything in this world is temporary, but His word remains.

When we truly know and recognize who God is, He becomes the first and primary voice we listen to. This doesn't mean we disregard the voices of those He sends to speak into our lives. He still uses people, dreams, visions, and revelations to communicate His will (Acts 2:17; 2 Peter 1:21; Joel 2:28; John 16:13).

The Holy Spirit speaks through Scripture, through books, gives insight, and revelation (Job 33:14). God’s methods of communication are varied, but His message is always intentional and life-changing.

Though great men and women can offer great advice, they are ultimately limited in their ability. They can suggest, inspire, and advise, but they cannot alter our reality. Only God holds the power to shift the course of our life.

Through faith in His Word, we can experience deliverance from sickness, poverty, depression, affliction, and any adversity. God's authority alone can reverse circumstances and transform what appears irreversible. He alone can successfully overturn our present reality.

Advice from even the most brilliant minds may hit or miss—but God’s words carry the promise of guaranteed transformation. His voice is backed by His power and unwavering truth. Ecclesiastes 3:11-14 tells us that God makes everything beautiful in its time, yet we, as finite beings, cannot fully comprehend the breadth of His works. He alone orchestrates past, present, and future with flawless sovereignty. There is no one like Him, nor will there ever be (Exodus 15:11; Isaiah 46:9; Deuteronomy 33:26; Psalm 86:8).

So, the next time God speaks—whether through Scripture, a sermon, in our hearts, in visions, dreams, or through people—remember: His word holds the power to renew our mind, transform our heart, and revolutionize our entire life.

When God speaks, it is never theoretical or imaginary. His words are real. They are living, active, and eternally true. This is why we should live by God's Word, not by what we see or hear from others. Only God knows the full picture—our hearts, our motives, and our future. He alone is fully trustworthy.

His guidance might not always make sense, but it will always protect us. We are all vulnerable to lies and deception, except God. Therefore, it is essential to let God guide our lives.

A call for salvation

When you accept Jesus Christ as your Savior, His spirit will become one with yours. This is one of the greatest blessings of salvation. You don't have to go through someone else to get to God, as you and Him are now one.

All you need to do is receive the gift of salvation by repenting of your sins and inviting Jesus into your life, confessing Him as Lord. As Romans 10:9 declares, “If you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” And 1 John 4:15 assures us, “If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God.” When you take this step, you are saved and welcomed into God’s Kingdom—becoming a part of the family of Christ!

Here's a Prayer that you can pray to get saved:

Jesus, I confess that You are Lord, and I believe in my heart that You died and rose again for my sins. I ask for Your forgiveness and receive You as my personal Lord and Savior. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

After this step, pray for guidance to find a ministry where you can grow spiritually, gain knowledge about the kingdom, and begin living the abundant life promised by Jesus.
