The Side of You Only God Can See, God Will Show You the Truth About Yourself—Are You Ready?

You think you know yourself? Wait until what God reveals!
Have you ever thought you knew who you are only to realize you were only seeing the surface? This is what happens when God starts dealing with you.
What God reveals in private is unlike anything you'll expect because God reads you better than you read yourself.
Unlike people who publicly shame or embarrass, God deals with us in private, gently revealing what we need to see. He exposes the areas of our hearts that needs to change.
This process is real and raw. Unfiltered.
What God shows you in secret can be hard to face, but it’s always for your good.
There's sides of us only He can see and what needs to come to light. And here’s the key: God exposes you to you, so you can finally understand, confront, and change what needs changing. He shows you the ugly not to leave you there, but so you can transform.

God Sees What You Don't
Many people wonder if God is real, but one of the clearest places His reality shows up is in the way He reveals the truth about who we are on the inside. God has a way of opening a person’s eyes to things about themselves they never realized were there (Psalm 139:23–24).
In quiet, private moments, the Holy Spirit brings situations back to a person’s mind—moments they acted a certain way, responded poorly, or carried an attitude they didn’t notice at the time. With pinpoint accuracy, God shows what was really going on in the heart (Jeremiah 17:9‑10).
He reveals ungrateful moments, arrogant responses, impatience and how it affected people around them. Most people spend years living in patterns they don’t even recognize. But it’s in those one-on-one moments with God where a person finally sees their true nature and receives the help they desperately need (John 14:26).
God doesn’t just reveal problems—He reveals a person’s part in them: gossip, complaining (Philippians 2:14), fault-finding (Matthew 7:1‑2), ungratefulness, and then He shows how to overcome them. That’s why people who experience this work of God become deeply grateful.
God knows how to deal with each of us individually and perfectly. There are so many behind-the-scenes things—secret things about us—that we’re good at masking, covering up, or suppressing (Psalm 19:12‑13). But we shouldn't want to wear masks. We should want to be real and authentic. If we love, let it be genuine (Romans 12:9‑10). If we give, give from the heart. Hypocrisy must not accompany our actions.
And the only way to become real is to first see who you truly are—the good, the ugly, and the negative—and then let God remove it. We need God to show us what’s inside (Psalm 139:23‑24), and we need God to change what’s inside (Philippians 1:6).
What God shows you about yourself can be a “hard pill to swallow.” Truth can be difficult to accept (Hebrews 12:11).
Some things will break you. But you’ll become a better person, and the temporary feelings you face during that process are worth it because of who you become afterward (Romans 8:28). This is what God does—He transforms us and makes us into what the Bible calls a new creation 2 Corinthians 5:17). It’s an amazing experience.
God Doesn’t Shame You—He Restores You
It’s surprising how deeply God knows us. And unlike people who may call out your flaws publicly or talk about them behind your back while offering no help (Proverbs 11:13), God points things out privately, gently, and lovingly—and then helps you overcome them (Psalm 23:3).
There’s a song that says, “I’m a new creation, I’m a brand new man; old things have passed away…” That’s exactly what God does for us (Ephesians 4:22‑24).
Without God’s involvement in our lives, we’re like a blind person walking around without even knowing we’re blind (John 9:39).
If you don’t know you can’t see, you won’t seek help to see. But God opens our eyes, gives us vision, and shows us how to keep them open so we don’t go blind again (Psalm 119:18).
As Jesus said in Mark 10:23–27, we need The Holy Spirit's help—because what’s impossible for us is possible with God.

When you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, His Spirit comes to live in you. You no longer have to rely on anyone else to reach God—He is with you, guiding every step.
Here’s how to receive this gift:
Repent of your sins and acknowledge your need for forgiveness.
Believe that Jesus died for your sins and rose again.
Invite Jesus into your life and commit to following Him.
Confess Him as Lord over your life.
When you take this step, you are saved and welcomed into God’s Kingdom—becoming a member of the family of Christ!
Prayer to Receive Salvation
"Jesus, I confess that You are Lord, and I believe in my heart that You died and rose again for my sins. I repent and ask for Your forgiveness. I invite You into my heart and life, and I receive You as my personal Lord and Savior. In Jesus’ name, Amen."
Renounce the Kingdom of Darkness
To fully embrace your new life in Christ, renounce any ties to darkness and recommit yourself to God:
"Right now, I renounce and break all ties, covenants, and agreements with the kingdom of darkness, knowingly or unknowingly made. I reject Satan, all his works, and every influence of evil over my life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. Lead me, teach me, and establish me in Your purpose. From this day forward, I belong to Jesus. I am a child of God, and I walk in the light. In Jesus’ name, Amen."
