You're Made for More Than the Moment

Updated: Jul 29

Your purpose is bigger than your current situation—whether it’s success, struggle, comfort, or confusion. You were created with a long-term, meaningful destiny that goes beyond what you're currently facing or feeling. So, don’t get stuck in temporary emotions or circumstances because there’s more ahead.

One of the greatest gifts you can carry is a clear understanding of your God-given purpose. When you know why you were created, you can remain steady, even when life feels unstable.

Revelation 4:11 reminds us that we were created by God's will and for His pleasure. This means your life is not random—it’s intentional. You were placed on this earth on purpose, for a purpose. And when you know that, you begin to navigate each season—whether joyful or difficult—with a deeper sense of direction.

Purpose gives your pain meaning. It gives your victories perspective. And it anchors you when everything around you is shifting.

Without a sense of purpose, it’s easy to get distracted. You may start chasing things that look good but aren't God or what God wants for you. Or, you may settle for comfort over calling. But when you're anchored in your purpose, you're less likely to be swayed by the noise of the world or the opinions of others.

Don’t Chase Applause—Chase Assignment

In this world, we’re often tempted to find our identity in achievements, applause, or appearance. But Proverbs 25:27 warns that seeking our own glory is not glory at all. It's temporary and leaves us feeling empty. True fulfillment comes from pleasing God, not people.

Galatians 1:10 challenges us to ask: “Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God?” When we live for the approval of people, we forfeit the clarity that comes from living for Christ (1 Thessalonians 2:4; 2 Corinthians 10:18).

As believers, our kingdom assignment is not about feelings—but about purpose.

See Purpose in Every Step

Living on purpose means moving with intention, not just chasing ambition. It’s choosing obedience over applause, peace over popularity, and purpose over performance. It’s pressing forward when quitting feels easier, and viewing life through the lens of our all-knowing, all-wise, all-powerful God. It’s also recognizing that passion may inspire you—but only God defines your purpose.

Some people confuse passion for purpose. But while passion can inspire you, only God can define you. He alone knows the reason for your design. He knows the gifts He placed inside you and the exact timing for when to use them (Jeremiah 29:11; Psalm 37:4). You don’t need to strive to discover your purpose—you need to surrender.

Purpose isn’t always loud. Sometimes it looks like being faithful in the small, unseen places. It looks like trusting God even when the outcome is unclear. It looks like saying "yes" when no one else understands, simply because you know God is leading.

Even in confusion, God offers clarity when you seek Him. Isaiah 41:10 promises that He will strengthen, help, and uphold you. When you're led by Him, you can walk with confidence—even if you don’t have all the answers.

But when we act without seeking Him, we risk falling into relationships, jobs, or opportunities that pull us away from His path. The wrong relationships—whether personal or professional—can detour you from your destiny.

The truth is this: When your life aligns with God’s purpose, success follows. Maybe not immediately. Maybe not how you imagined. But when God is in it, the outcome is always worth it.

Living with purpose allows you to embrace each season with peace, knowing you’re becoming who God created you to be.

A call for salvation

When you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, His Spirit becomes one with yours. This is one of the greatest blessings of salvation. You no longer need to go through anyone else to reach God—because you and He are now united.

All you need to do is receive the gift of salvation by repenting of your sins, inviting Jesus into your life, and confessing Him as Lord. This involves acknowledging your sin and need for forgiveness, believing that Jesus died for your sins and rose again, and surrendering your life to Him.

As Romans 10:9 declares, “If you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” And 1 John 4:15 assures us, “If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God.”

Another important step is to renounce the kingdom of darkness. By doing so, you are breaking any covenant or partnership with it and recommitting yourself to the Kingdom of Light—Jesus Christ.

When you take this step, you are saved and welcomed into God’s Kingdom—becoming a member of the family of Christ!

Here's a Prayer that you can pray to get saved:

"Jesus, I confess that You are Lord, and I believe in my heart that You died and rose again for my sins. I know that I am a sinner, and I repent and ask for Your forgiveness. I invite You to come into my heart and life, and I receive You as my personal Lord and Savior. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Renounce the Kingdom of Darkness

Right now, I renounce and break all ties, covenants, and agreements with the kingdom of darkness, knowingly or unknowingly made. I reject Satan, all his works, and every influence of evil over my life.

Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. Lead me, teach me, and establish me in Your purpose. From this day forward, I belong to Jesus. I am a child of God, and I walk in the light. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

After this step, pray for guidance to find a ministry where you can grow spiritually, gain knowledge about the kingdom, and begin living the abundant life promised by Jesus.
