God changes us in stages

Updated: May 8

Transformation is a journey with God, where each stage prepares us to be more like Jesus (2 Corinthians 3:18; Romans 12:2).

Transformation

We go through stages as God transforms us, beginning with being unaware of our sins and in denial.

We then progress through denial, believing we can manage on our own, until we accept that we cannot.

We then admit our need for God but can mistakenly believe we are fully delivered, only to realize it's not complete.

We then let go of self-effort and genuinely allowing God to do all the work, while having determination, faith in God, and expecting that He will accomplish it, until we see ourselves completely transformed.

It's not that we're incapable of change or that God doubts our ability to change more quickly; rather, He understands our hearts, thoughts, intentions, and every tiny detail about us because He is knows everything (1 John 3:20; Proverbs 15:3; Hebrews 4:13).

Furthermore, He can accomplish anything because He is all-powerful; nothing is too difficult for Him, and with Him, we can achieve anything (Genesis 18:14; Jeremiah 32:17; Jeremiah 32:27; Luke 18:27).

God's wisdom surpasses human understanding, so He knows the best way to change us. If His plan involves a gradual process rather than immediate change, then it is the most effective method.

So, remain patient, avoid discouragement and know that change will happen as we progress through our different stages.

A call for salvation

When you accept Jesus Christ as your Savior, His spirit will become one with yours. This is one of the greatest blessings of salvation. You don't have to go through someone else to get to God, as you and Him are now one.

All you need to do is receive the gift of salvation by repenting of your sins and inviting Jesus into your life, confessing Him as Lord. As Romans 10:9 declares, “If you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” And 1 John 4:15 assures us, “If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God.” When you take this step, you are saved and welcomed into God’s Kingdom—becoming a part of the family of Christ!

Here's a Prayer that you can pray to get saved:

Jesus, I confess that You are Lord, and I believe in my heart that You died and rose again for my sins. I ask for Your forgiveness and receive You as my personal Lord and Savior. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

After this step, pray for guidance to find a ministry where you can grow spiritually, gain knowledge about the kingdom, and begin living the abundant life promised by Jesus.
