Here's what I learned while single...

Stay single until you can find someone to love effortlessly and loves you effortlessly — and here's why:

ree

because love isn’t meant to feel like constant striving, proving, or surviving. The right love brings peace, not pressure. It doesn’t drain you; it strengthens you. When love is mutual and effortless, you’re not chasing affection—you’re building purpose together, growing in safety, trust, and joy.

Real love doesn’t require you to shrink, perform, or beg to be chosen. It flows naturally. You don’t have to over-explain your heart, constantly fix problems you didn’t create, or carry the relationship on your back.

When love is right, it feels stable and peaceful. You can grow as your own person without guilt and build together without pressure. Until then, staying single gives you the freedom to become who you’re meant to be and to wait for who God has for you. There’s no better matchmaker than God — and here’s why.

God is the best matchmaker because He sees what we can’t, knows what we need, and cares about our purpose over our will — and here’s why.

  1. God knows the heart, not just the attraction

We choose based on feelings and appearances, but God looks deeper.“People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” (1 Samuel 16:7)

God aligns hearts, values, and character — not just chemistry.

  1. God knows your future, not just your present

He sees where you’re going and who can walk with you there.“For I know the plans I have for you…” (Jeremiah 29:11)

A God-chosen partner won’t distract you from your calling — they’ll support it.

  1. God understands your design because He made you

The Creator knows what fits His creation.“It is not good for the man to be alone; I will make a helper suitable for him.” (Genesis 2:18)“

Suitable” means aligned, complementary, and purposeful.

  1. God protects you from what looks good but harms you

What we want can sometimes hurt us; God guards us from that.

“The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives.” (Psalm 37:23)

  1. God values peace, not confusion, in relationships

If it’s from God, it won’t constantly disturb your spirit.

“For God is not a God of confusion but of peace.” (1 Corinthians 14:33)

  1. God builds love on commitment, not emotion alone

Feelings fade, but covenant lasts.

“Love is patient, love is kind…” (1 Corinthians 13:4–7)

God forms relationships that can endure seasons, not just moments.

Here's the bottom line...

God is the best matchmaker because He matches purpose with purpose, faith with faith, and future with future. When He brings two people together, it’s not just for attraction. It’s for alignment, growth, peace, and purpose.
