I am going to share with you how learning Biblical truths and principles can help you become prosperous.

From Series: Life Lessons Learned from the Bible - Matthew 6:33 and Mark 10:21

"Seek first the Kingdom of God and He will take care of everything" - Matthew 6:33

God is the perfect steward over all things in life. No one can or will do a better job of helping you succeed in life than how God can. When you let God handle your affairs, He will supply all your needs according to His riches and glory (Philippians 4:19). You cannot get better or be supplied with better than what God has.

If you seek the Kingdom, then prosperity will come to you and everything about the Kingdom of God will come to you. Seek after God, and then that abundance will come.

When you have accepted the Lord Jesus Christ into your heart and life, you now have access to your inheritance. Your prosperity will then come from Heaven (the Kingdom you are now part of), and it is more that what you may think it is, just money or resources, but it is also favor and grace.

You have now become God's child which means you will be treated good and will be taken care of (James 1:17, Psalm 84:11, Psalm 34:8). God is not like some of our fathers who are neglectful, irresponsible or selfish. He makes sure His children are well taken care of. He is attentive, caring, and provides for your needs (1 Peter 5:7, Matthew 6:25-34, Genesis 28:15).

God wants people to know that He is good (see Jeremiah 33:9). How else will people see how good He is if it is not demonstrated, and prosperity is one way people see how good God is toward His people.

For those who have a relationship with God, at times we do not ask God to show us the secret to our success. Or if we do ask God, we lack patience or faith. Then we allow the adversary to influence us by telling us what we believe or are waiting for is not true or won't happen. Once this lie is planted and impressed in our thoughts, we start doing things ourselves and in our own way causing us to no longer be on the path of divine prosperity.

If you're not careful you can be easily tricked. Watching other people can cause you to act out of God's Divine will for you, making it important that you focus on Him and not other people. The pathway for your individual success is not meant to be known or seen by no one else but you. Also, "your personal blueprint (for life) cannot be duplicated because it was specially made for you only and you are the only one who can follow the plan successfully." - Excerpt from It's Ok To Be Single.

Their pathway is specifically designed for them. What they do and how they do it, is for them. You must discover your own purpose to live a fulfilled life and to no longer look at other people for answers - no matter how tempting it is.

You will get to that point where all you seek (pursue) is God. Other people's success will no longer sway or distract you. When someone presents an opportunity to you, you will know if it is part of God's plan for your life or not, making you always make the right choices.

In the Bible David lived this truth and many others are living this truth today. Like many He lived in God's favor.

Living in God's Prosperity

Did you know that God takes pleasure in our prosperity? (see Psalm 35:27).

We should be lenders and not people who borrow and be the ones that people come to when in need instead of the other way around (Deuteronomy 28:13, Deuteronomy 15:6).

We should be possessing the land, meaning having ownership and control over businesses, real-estate, banks, systems, etc. (1 Peter 2:9, Joshua 21:43, Genesis 15:18, Genesis 28:4, John 15:7). And the great thing about it is, you do not have to work for it.

God will give it to you because"Now if we are children, then we are heirs--heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory" - Romans 8:17.

There is an inheritance waiting for you when you are part of the family of Christ where lands, ownership, control, wisdom, and Divine gifts are passed on to you. Although it may not always be recognized, spiritual gifts are the most priceless gifts you can get.

God is like a good father who wants us to have everything we need, so everything that is in the Kingdom of Heaven is available to you.

What is in God's Kingdom? Wealth, perfect health, wholeness, abundance, favor, protection, solutions, insight, wisdom, faith, perfect love, acceptance, value, boldness, authority, purpose, and much more.

This list barely scratches the surface, it will take a lifetime and more and you will still discover more (1 Corinthians 2:9).

Make the right investment.

When you invest with God you will reap what you sow (Galatians 6:7). You will gain the abundance from Heaven, they will all come to you. When you understand what the Kingdom of God has, you will ‘put all your eggs in one basket’ and depend solely on God for your success and plan of action.

God's Word is certain. It is practical and for today. When you heed to His instructions then you prosper. This truth is not up for debate. Many will come and try to persuade you to doubt the validity of what God is saying concerning your prosperity. However, it is a ruse to steal, kill and destroy you. Destroy your plans and future. But God has come so you may not only have life but have it to the fullest (John 10:10).

It may not make sense to most people because it is not of this world (Isaiah 55:8-9). It’s not normal and it is supernatural. The Kingdom of Heaven operates differently than our world's reality. But as you apply these principles in your life it will make sense as they unfold. It will be undeniable because you are living in it.

The question is are you willing to lose what it costs now, to gain what is free later? (Mark 10:29-30). The point/lesson that Jesus wanted to show the rich man in Mark 10:17-27 was, if you invest everything into me and give it all up you will gain 100-fold back because in the end I am going to make you great and I am going to make your name great.
