How to make JOY a Lifestyle

Updated: May 20

A joyful heart is good medicine - Proverbs 17:22

There is power in joy.

Something out of this world happens when you understand the power of joy.

Joy is a guaranteed attribute you gain when you have a relationship with the Creator. There are perks or birthrights you get when you reunite with God, and joy is one of them.

Joy is in the palm of your hands, but you have to maintain it.

There are many things in this world that will suppress us from staying in the state of joy but you have to be determined to maintain what is already in you.

“We are given strength for what is ahead of us. We are given strength to press on to our future from the joy that comes from the Lord. God’s joy is like no other. It’s not temporal or conditional or situational—it’s always. It’s knowing that no matter what is thrown your way: obstacles, setback, bad news, illness, or anything formed against you will not succeed (Isaiah 54:17). When you have the joy of the Lord, you know all things work together for those that love him (Romans 8:28). It’s knowing that your life plans are ordered by God before you were born. It’s knowing what is for you cannot be taken from you. It’s knowing because God is a faithful God his Word is for sure.” – Excerpt My Love Is Unconditional

Joy gives you power to overcome circumstances. It will help you stay optimistic and focus. You will live with expectation instead of despair because you know what you are enduring is just the process. You understand in the end, you will succeed.

“Joy is having a mind-set that refuses to accept thoughts, voices, or ideas that want to steal your happiness. – Excerpt My Love Is Unconditional

It is possible to always be joyful if you refuse to accept those things that take it away.

It is our Creator’s delight to embrace us with joy and why He desires for us to have a relationship with Him. It is only through this union will you experience daily joy as you fellowship with the Creator.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope - Romans 15:13

Joy is not contingent on nothing except God. Spending time with Him will produce joy beyond measure. How bad do you want it? I invite you to read on how Joy can be more than an emotion but a lifestyle in My Love Is Unconditional.
